Inner Soul Confession: Finding Comfort

Not Always About Music

Finding Comfort!

Best Friend: My mom

Why: She’s been the consistent rock in my life — after my father lost his life 32 years ago, raised three young children while sacrificing her sanity, social life and well being for our sake; worked two jobs in order to keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies; when I didn’t value myself, she did; when I lost faith in my ability, she was there to build me up; when I made really dumb (life threatening) mistakes, she was there to dust me off and give me a clean start.

My belief: Whomever leaves this earth in the form of life as we know it first, the God I trust in will reunite us in love and spirit.

Proudest moment: When my mother told me that I am ‘her hero’ and how she admires the strides I’ve made in life

To you reading this, I say: Move past the mistakes made by others, life is way too precious! If you have a living parent, cherish your time with them and do all you can to make their everyday a happy one. Put aside YOUR selfish ways — there’s no time for it!

Why share this: I am transparent; no reason to live life behind a curtain; and if my words can facilitate a notion to salvage a previously soured relationship, then I’ve done my work!

Live, while you can

Love, around the clock

Laugh, always

———

2 Corinthians 1:3

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.

*thank you, Shawn!*

    Love you and Ms. Helen

    • my mother is very much into flowers, so I’ve got to give her all she can while she can sniff them and while I can share on my end

praying that my words will either provide comfort to someone else or may result in a reunion of sorts
